Lessons will be given by qualified and certified teachers who are familiar with IELTS requirements. Thanks to a motivating method with an excellent success rate, you will be able to make progress in a short time and be ready for the exam. Each school provides all learning materials and courses can start at any time of the year. This comprehensive group programme will allow you to progress in both written and oral skills in preparation for the exams.
IELTS preparation with a private tutor
Private preparation courses are also available at Wall Street English schools in Switzerland. If you are unable to attend classes or if you prefer to opt for a personalised approach, one-to-one learning programmes with a teacher are possible. This is a very effective solution for making great strides under the guidance of a qualified teacher. You will be able to focus on your weak points and benefit from 45-minute à la carte lessons, set according to your availability. A free preliminary test will tell you how many lessons you need to prepare for the course. Social activities and WSE workshops will also be available free of charge.
IELTS has four distinct parts: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The first part is dedicated to your understanding of spoken English, for a total of 30 minutes. The second part takes the form of a questionnaire relating to different extracts from texts, to be completed over a period of 60 minutes. The third part will ask you to write a text in English, again for 60 minutes. The fourth and final part tests your oral expression in English for 10 to 15 minutes.
You will be given a mark for each part. The average of these four marks, between 1 and 9, will give your final score which will establish your level of English. Although difficult, IELTS is very useful for people wishing to study or work abroad. Getting an advanced level on the exam can open many doors for you.
